I remember having a conversation in the 6th Form library at Netteswell school in 1974 or 1975 with Owen Willcox - about poetry (what prigs we were !!). Owen said that Lorcan didn't dig classical verses - his idea of poetry was "I've seen the needle and the damage done, a little part of it in everyone. But every junkie's like a setting sun". I realise now that Div had a lot more poetry in his soul than I think I've ever achieved.
